CBSMUN 2026

Two experienced and one new ETH MUN delegate made the trip to Copenhagen on the 11th of March 2026. CBSMUN, organized by students from Copenhagen Business School, is regarded as one of the best conferences in Europe – rightfully so. It had a social dedicated to fun shenanigans while exploring the city (albeit it was hampered by rainy weather, typical of the Northern capital), a social set on a peninsula, complete with music bingo, and finally one set at one of the oldest bars in Copenhagen.

There was no lack of debate, however. The conference had many delegates from all over Europe, France, Spain, mostly Germany… and quite a few from Switzerland, with Geneva and St. Gallen also sending delegates. The lineup was completed by delegations from across the Atlantic: the United States. Our delegates debated in the Special Political and Decolonization Committee (SPECPOL, Beginner), addressing the long-term effects of colonial borders in modern-day Syria, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO, Intermediate), discussing the future of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) in modernizing commercial air travel,  and the Eurogroup (expert), which was revisiting the Greek bailout negotiations in 2015. We congratulate our transport enthusiast Ivan Chumakov, who took home the most impactful delegate award as the delegate of Morocco in ICAO!
