This semester ETHMUN had the honor to attend LyonMUN for the very first time. Our delegation consisted of 6 delegates of whom 4 delegates represented countries in the Historical United Nations Security Council covering the Rhodesia situation and the Israeli raid in Lebanon in 1973. This expert committee was chaired by exceptionally competent chairs in a highly professional manner. The debate was fruitful and led to realistic, well-phrased resolutions being passed.
Exceptionally, Levente got an honorable mention for best delegate by distinguishing himself as a key contributor to both draft resolutions.
Two delegates acted in the press corps, drafting key news reports for the sessions in progress.
The LyonMUN opening ceremony was in an exceptional location, the city hall of Lyon with interesting speakers. All socials were well organized and the masquerade ball at a horse raising track in Lyon was a special highlight.
The delegation had a great time bonding and enjoying the pleasures of the french way of life, especially the food.
