Fifth Session Security Council HS21

The last session saw Tunisia’s dreams of introducing a draft resolution being shattered. The member states declared the resolution void in an election with a narrow, yet clear result against the paper. Meanwhile, rumors have been circulating that most European states are forming a bloc to push the Greco-Turkish conflict over the Afghanistan crisis, as they see a lack of responsibility for solving the issues in the latter country. The next session will prove to what extent the European allies will be able to position themselves against their overseas allies, first and foremost the USA, as well as against the other key players China and Russia.
